Contribution to Project
The first day back from being absent for a week because I got my wisdom teeth pulled I joined Emma and Hannah’s group. I started to work on our project by filling out the project proposal sheet. The proposal was to paint quotes and pictures on Mr. Keane’s board in his classroom from three different books we had read in his class this semester. The three books we chose to paint quotes and pictures from are The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Hamlet, and The Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now. The next couple days I helped by looking for the pictures that we could paint to relate to the quotes of each book. After those few days of making a plan and getting organized, my group and I spent the rest of the time drawing and painting. Painting the board black was the first step and I completed this task with my group in two days on May 2nd and 3rd. To make the border of hands around the board we each traced one of our hands in cardboard, made them a stencil, traced the hands on the board, and painted the hands in the colors grey, white, and red. I traced the hands around the border with Hannah, painted all of the red ones myself, and finished painting the hands on May 22. I painted the first quote and citation the color white from the book The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Throughout the time of the project I also took my turn to record on video and take photos of my group working. Word Count-268
